The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have personally thanked a number of healthcare workers for their efforts during the coronavirus pandemic, making phone calls to two hospitals.According to the Court Circular, on Thursday the Palace said: "The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge this afternoon talked to staff at Queen's Hospital Burton, Burton on Trent, Staffordshire, via telephone."Their Royal Highnesses afterwards talked to staff at University Hospital Monklands, Airdrie, Lanarkshire, via telephone.".Will and Kate's unexpected call to Queen's Hospital Burton came after the sad passing of a member of its medical team from coronavirus.
