The Duchess of Cambridge, 38, looked effortlessly beautiful as she met children from school choirs, who attended the glitzy event in celebration of the 25th anniversary of Place2Be on Monday 9 March.Kate's stunning dress by Jenny Packham was embellished with glittering blue beads placed in a floral pattern across the full-length sleeves and the bodice of the gown.Meanwhile, the skirt of the dress was kept simple as the plain navy fabric had subtle pleats in.Prince William's wife wore her brunette locks, which she recently had cut into a long bob, in her signature wavy style and accessorised her look with a matching glitzy clutch bag.Kate crouched down at the kid's eye level to chat to the children from, who looked delighted as they met the Duchess.Kate later smiled as she posed alongside the children for a group photograph.The Duchess is a patron of the charity Place2Be, which provides emotional support children who suffer from mental health issues by providing counselling in schools across the UK.Speaking passionately for children's mental health earlier this year, Kate said: "For many children today, the world can feel a scary and daunting place.While we might not always feel brave inside, even the smallest act – such as sharing a worry or asking for help – can be incredibly courageous.“Helping children to feel confident about seeking support can have a transformational impact on their lives.".
The charity dinner comes hours after Kate attended the Commonwealth Service alongside her husband Prince William, 37.engagement as a senior royal before stepping down from their roles.Joining The Queen, Kate, William, Meghan, 38, and Harry, 35 attended the Commonwealth Service at Westminster Abbey on Monday 9 March.The service is held annually on Commonwealth Day, which is always the second Monday in March. And this year's performers included Craig David and Alexandra Burke.
