Mnangagwa's spokesperson George Charamba blasts US Ambassador to Zimbabwe Brian Nichols

Mnangagwa's spokesperson George Charamba blasts US Ambassador to Zimbabwe Brian Nichols.President Emmerson Mnangagwa’s spokesperson George Charamba has accused the United States Ambassador to Zimbabwe Brian Nichols of operating outside his diplomatic mandate to pursue the politics of the MDC Alliance led by Advocate Nelson Chamisa.Charamba through his Twitter account @Jamwanda2 challenged Nichols to come out in the open and declare his support for the opposition.

The US Ambassador, in a number of interviews a week ago, dismissed assertions that Zimbabwe’s economy had collapsed due to sanctions imposed by the West but corruption by the ruling Zanu-PF elite. The interviews were granted as Zimbabwe and other Sadc countries prepared to march against the sanctions on 27 October.Charamba said the US Ambassador had crossed the line of diplomacy.

“Have been reading Ambassador Nichols’ interview with Trevor Ncube. He has crossed line of diplomacy and does far better than Nelson Chamisa in playing opposition politics in Zimbabwe, and against President ED.Time may have come to recalibrate status in sync with his preferences,” said Charamba,.“Those like us who are able to interpret moves in diplomacy take note of the near-hysterical response by the Americans; and at that very high level.“Very consistent with little Zimbabwe posing a continuing, extraordinary threat to American policy”.

Chamisa's lawyer spoke out about Mnangagwa's fraud evidence during the election

OPPOSITION MDC leader Nelson Chamisa will launch a renewed bid to oust President Emmerson Mnangagwa by seeking to have the Constitutional Court (ConCourt) review its own judgment based on “new evidence.”.Chamisa’s lawyer Thabani Mpofu said after studying academic works on the elections published by self-exiled former minister Jonathan Moyo, they were now making efforts to have the judgment on the 2018 presidential elections set aside. The country’s top court ruled that Chamisa had failed to prove allegations of fraud during the presidential election, a vote which left the nation polarised and violence on the streets of the capital Harare.Mpofu said the basis of approaching the ConCourt was because they now believe that the Zimbabwe Electoral Commission (Zec) presented to the courts false information and, therefore, their call for the judgment to be set aside.“The general rule is that once a final judgment or order has been given, the judge who gave it or any other judge of parallel juri...
