Under Mnangagwa, life in Zimbabwe is now worse than under late former President Robert Mugabe

Under Mnangagwa, life in Zimbabwe is now worse than under late former President Robert Mugabe..An opinion in the Daily News has opined that the president has failed dismally to lead the country to a better future after he took over from the late president Mugabe in 2017.The editor detailed most of Zimbabwe’s major problems in the article and said:. We have a government which has lost its moral compass and focus. We have a government that has abdicated its responsibility to purse social development..

Over 90 percent of Zimbabweans are wallowing in abject poverty in the so-called second republic under Emmerson Mnangagwa..After almost two years in power, Mnangagwa’s administration has failed miserably. Zimbabweans are worse off than they were under the tin-pot dictatorship of the late Robert Mugabe.Prices of goods and services are well beyond the reach of many.. On the human rights score, Mnangagwa’s administration has become a joke.In August 2018, the military killed six civilians after protests in the capital on perceived delay in announcement of harmonised elections results.

In January this year, at least 12 civilians died during protests against a sharp rise in fuel prices.Despite a commission of inquiry being set up and recommending punishment for the perpetrators of the first killings, not even a single soldier has been tried for the heinous crime.Over 50 people have been abducted since January and the abductors have not been accounted for..Rallies by the MDC, the largest official opposition party in the country, have been banned on contrived flimsy allegations that they would turn violent.

The article concludes by saying that the UN report that Special Rapporteur Mr C Voule will present to the UN in 2020 will be damning and President Mnangangwa has failed dismally..Mugabe's Blue Roof title deeds transfer: Obert Mpofu meets Pres Mnangagwa, sets the record straight..President Mnangagwa yesterday said his party, ZANU-PF, was determined to transfer title deeds of the imposing Blue Roof mansion in Borrowdale and a Mount Pleasant property to the late former President Robert Mugabe’s family..

ZANU-PF secretary for Administration Dr Obert Mpofu said President Mnangagwa had informed him that the ruling party will transfer title deeds of the two properties in the near future, to the late national hero’s family..The clarification came as Dr Mpofu had been quoted in the media insinuating that the ruling party was considering converting the two properties into museums and derive benefits for the party..Dr Mpofu set the record straight.. “I was in a meeting with President Mnangagwa today (yesterday), who advised me that the party will transfer title deeds of the two properties to the family as promised..“Nothing has changed on the party’s commitment to transfer the two properties,” said Dr Mpofu..

Cde Mugabe, who died on September 6 in Singapore, was declared a national hero by ZANU-PF, but his family indicated that he wished to be buried in Kutama, Zvimba, in Mashonaland West Province..He was buried on Saturday.. Recently, the Mugabe family spokesperson Mr Leo Mugabe confirmed that Zimbabwe’s late founding father did not own both the Blue Roof mansion.and the Mount Pleasant house occupied by Mrs Bona Mugabe-Chikore.. “The issue of properties is being handled by the President. He is handling the issue to ensure the family is safe.I was told by President Mnangagwa that the party will help to transfer the title deeds of the properties to the former President’s family,” he said..

Mr Mugabe said ZANU-PF owned the land on which the two houses were built.. “It’s so funny (that) the party (ZANU-PF) is the one that bought the first house in Mt Pleasant and the land for the Blue Roof property. It leaves the former President Mugabe without a house in Harare,” he said. Dr Mpofu said they were doing the paperwork to transfer the properties to the Mugabe family..In his tribute to Cde Mugabe during a State funeral held at the National Sports Stadium in Harare, President Mnangagwa said Cde Mugabe’s legacy was a springboard for economic development..He described Cde Mugabe as a “giant African tree that has fallen”.. “

He taught a generation, led a nation, inspired a continent, spoke for the oppressed and defined the politics and economics of an epoch. The man who lies before us was for years our leader, our commander, mentor and President, both in the party and Government..“Today, Southern Africa mourns the sad loss of front-liner. Today, Africa weeps, grieving over the loss of a true Pan-African,” he said..President Mnangagwa said during his lifetime, Cde Mugabe was vilified and given “many false names” to present him in bad light, but he remained a true African icon..

Chamisa's lawyer spoke out about Mnangagwa's fraud evidence during the election

OPPOSITION MDC leader Nelson Chamisa will launch a renewed bid to oust President Emmerson Mnangagwa by seeking to have the Constitutional Court (ConCourt) review its own judgment based on “new evidence.”.Chamisa’s lawyer Thabani Mpofu said after studying academic works on the elections published by self-exiled former minister Jonathan Moyo, they were now making efforts to have the judgment on the 2018 presidential elections set aside. The country’s top court ruled that Chamisa had failed to prove allegations of fraud during the presidential election, a vote which left the nation polarised and violence on the streets of the capital Harare.Mpofu said the basis of approaching the ConCourt was because they now believe that the Zimbabwe Electoral Commission (Zec) presented to the courts false information and, therefore, their call for the judgment to be set aside.“The general rule is that once a final judgment or order has been given, the judge who gave it or any other judge of parallel juri...

The future of former First Lady, Grace Mugabe, who arguably created more enemies than friends during her husband's last days in office, now hangs in the balance. The demise of the former president.Robert Mugabe, the man from whom Grace drew power and protection, leaves his wife now exposed. Grace, who during the greater part of husband's presidency had been focused on charity work, before later venturing into politics..With the support of Mugabe, Grace was in December 2014 parachuted to the helm of ZANU-PF Women's League, automatically qualifying to sit in the ruling party's highest decision-making body, the Politburo..The ex-First Lady then used her position and marriage to Mugabe to vilify all those she perceived to be harbouring ambitions of succeeding Zimbabwe's long-time ruler..She became literally untouchable with ministers currying favours with her to avoid being sacked by the President. The former First Lady ganged up with the G40 faction of ZANU-PF....
